HTML to Markdown, cleaned for LLMs
Paste a page’s HTML, or any fragment, and get tidy Markdown back. It is the converter behind every SarvCrawl scrape, so navigation and scripts are dropped and structure is kept.
More than a tag-for-tag swap
Boilerplate removed
Navigation, footers, sidebars, scripts and styles are stripped before conversion.
Structure kept
Headings, nested lists, tables, links, images and code blocks map to proper Markdown.
Smaller prompts
Markdown is a fraction of the size of the HTML it came from, so it costs far fewer tokens.
Never stored
Pasted HTML is converted and dropped: not cached, not logged, not kept.
Have a URL instead?
The scrape demo fetches and renders the page for you, JavaScript included.
Same engine as the API
What you see here is exactly what a scrape or crawl stores in your knowledge base.

Questions
What is the best way to convert HTML to Markdown?
Strip the parts that are not content first (navigation, scripts, footers), then map the remaining tags to Markdown. This tool does both, the same way our crawler does.
Does it keep tables and code blocks?
Yes. Tables become Markdown tables and pre/code blocks become fenced code.
Is the HTML I paste stored?
No. It is converted in memory and dropped, never cached or logged.
Can I convert a live web page by URL?
Yes, use the scrape demo or the Chrome extension, which also handles pages behind your own login.
