The short version
- Choose ScrapingBee if you want a single, pleasant endpoint that fetches a page with JavaScript rendering and proxies, and you will handle the rest.
- Choose SarvCrawl if you need whole-site crawls, document parsing and a knowledge base you can search, not just one page at a time.

Where they really differ
ScrapingBee does one thing very cleanly: one endpoint, sane defaults, and an SDK you understand in five minutes. Along with Firecrawl it has some of the most pleasant documentation in the category.
It is a fetch tool. Crawl orchestration, document parsing and the content pipeline are yours. SarvCrawl follows links across a whole site, parses linked PDFs and Office files, and lands everything in a knowledge base that is chunked and embedded.
Worth knowing: Oxylabs acquired ScrapingBee in June 2025, so its direction now depends on the larger company's roadmap.
Using both
Use ScrapingBee for the occasional page that needs its proxies, and SarvCrawl for whole-site crawls and anything you want to search.
SarvCrawl vs ScrapingBee: questions
Is SarvCrawl a ScrapingBee alternative?
If you need crawling, documents and search, yes. If you only need one page fetched through good proxies, ScrapingBee is simpler.
Does SarvCrawl crawl whole sites?
Yes. The crawl endpoint follows links from a root URL, bounded by depth, page limit and exclude paths, and map discovers URLs without fetching content.
How do the free tiers compare?
ScrapingBee gives 1,000 free credits. SarvCrawl gives 1 billion tokens, on the order of two million pages of text through the full pipeline.
Do both have MCP servers?
Yes. SarvCrawl's exposes 21 tools, including knowledge-base management and search.
